This three months project showed the capability of manipulating KUKA robots to serve cocktails for a large number of customers in China. As the pop-up store for a well-known company-Alibaba music festival, we aimed to develop stable, humanized and fancy robot elders. Efficiency solution-In order to serves a large number of customers in China, we installed all the base liquors on one robot’s tool to inject liquors as soon as possible.

This is the first robotic commercial project I participated this year 2018. As a really short project for a huge number of unpredictable customers, what we could propose was a simple but highly efficient system which served cocktail as soon as possible. By combining the culture of using smartphone payment system in China, the interface between users and robots become simpler. Customers ordered their drinks on smartphones and robotic arms would run rule-based programs for modular cocktails. By combining with the various fancy movement of making drinks, we successfully attract lots of customers for our pop-up store.
